Mix a 3:1 water to white vinegar solution in a spray bottle. Spray the baking soda and wipe it out with wet paper towels.

Cleaning an Electric Stovetop
When your electric stovetop is cool, lightly wipe the surface with warm, soapy water. Rinse off the soap solution with clean water. Turn on the burners and allow the heat to burn off any remaining debris. Turn the burners off to enable the surface to cool, and then wipe off any contaminants with a soft paper towel.
Disassemble each burner, lifting the coil burner out of its spot, and removing the reflector pan beneath. Wash the pan in warm soapy water. Use a damp cloth to wipe down the coil burner, taking care not to get the electric connection elements wet. Wipe out the burner space with a damp paper towel. Allow all pieces to dry completely before reassembling the burners.

Ensure the gas supply is off and the stove is cool before cleaning. Remove the grates and reflector pans, placing them in warm, soapy water for up to 20 minutes. Use a soft sponge to wipe off any remaining pieces of food or grease. You can clean the stovetop with a store-bought cleaning solution. Ensure each part and surface is dry before reassembly.
